I made a couple yesterday. First I tried to make a double IPA on my old brewing system. All went well until the sparge, must have been some channels in the grain bed, because the yield of sugars from the sparge was scarce. I had to do a 3 hour boil to hit my numbers, which resulted in a 7 liter loss of wort. I enden up with 15 liters in the bucket, and the airlock is bubbling away now. OG: 1.065

I decided to use my mesh paddle and stir the grain bed gently and do a second running. So now I have a second 12 liter batch, outside any style, with an OG of: 1.026. This batch was naturally cooled down in the boil kettle from yesterday, so I just racked it into fermenter and pitched the yeast. Will be interesting to see how it turns out. I can always cover up with heavy dry hopping.
Quote of BB:    I think I've passed that point where I'm no longer under the influence of alcohol. The alcohol is actually under my influence..

FV 1: USB Porter OG: 1.090
FV 2: Network Porter OG: 1.040

Tap 1: Solid IPA 7% ABV
Tap 2: BB's Ginger Brew 6,5
Keg 3 & 4: Clean Slate Saison 17

Been a productive day brew wise....  while brewing an all grain Irish Red Ale, I racked a cream ale into secondary and bottled a vanilla oak bourbon porter.  the irish red went right on top of the US-05 yeast cake from the cream ale.
Primary:  Blueberry Mead
Secondary:
Carbonating:
Drinkin' : Chinook IPA, Mango Mead

I was supposed to get an all grain brew done today, but it was raining all morning (I brew outside) and then i simply couldn't be bothered this afternoon.

Instead i got out a Coopers Australian Pale ale kit out of the cupboard.

Very simple brew:

1 can Coopers Australian Pale ale
1.5kg Light LME
25g of Wai-iti (10 minute boil)
Fermenting with US-05

I've not done this Coopers kit before or used Wai-iti, so I have no idea what to expect.

Tempted to just dry hop with the other 75g, but we'll see what happens.

Happy Brewing and 17

Will do Combat, the only problem i've got is I don't know what to expect from the Coopers kit itself. Although saying that a 75g dry hop on top of the addition for the short boil should completely take over flavour wise.

I just wish i'd done it before so I could give you a more accurate opinion on the hop.
