On your Channel, you posted a follow-up video (during the winter of 2018) with your closing comments about the Fermentasaurus.

Now it is approx 1 year later since you last commented about your brew gear review of the Fermentasaurus.

You said you weren't too happy with the product, and that you preferred your buckets.  But if you are still using the Fermentasaurus I have one question . . .

The whole purpose of a conical fermenter like the pros use is to get the particulate to settle to the bottom and be able to remove it.  Yeast collection during that process is a benefit, but that is something that I am not interested in.

If you are still using your Fermentasaurus, what tips and recommendations do you have to overcome what I believe is a really bad butterfly valve design that clogs up so easily with trub and yeast?

We can't change what we own (I am not knocking the whole Fermentasaurus product other than the butterfly valve), but I am curious how you remove trub in the initial stages of fermentation?  (or if you wait until the end of fermentation before dumping the collection jar)

And then . . . How do you remove the balance of the excess yeast and proteins?  Do you swirl or shake the conical fermenter to knock down that material that is still stuck to the lower sides of the fermenter that are down near the butterfly valve?

Don't think I ment it like that.
I bought it to do pressurised fermentation and it works awsome for that. I've never tried empty it from the bottom because I bought this for pressurised fermentation and moving the beer out from the top. I think the straight with this fermenter is just that. Otherwise it would just another fast ferment.

do you leave the beer on the yeast cake the whole time?
I know you can serve from it, I have seen you and others pull a beer off it and its carbed.
I know fermenting under pressure, forgive me if im wrong usually around 2psi not much higher or you can stress the yeast.
I imagine after fermentation you keg it and not serve from the fermentasaurus.
have you washed any of the yeast from it?

No problem with leaving your beer on the yeast cake.
I keg when I need the fermenter for a new batch.
If you had two you could have one with the beer while the other one is fermenting the new beer :D
I ferment about 2.4bars (35PSI). Think that's a rumor really.
I don't usually wash yeast.

It's not the mark between those and you can still have those proteins and yeast in it
