Hello fellow brewers!

Does this SMASH recipe look ok?

I'm about to brew my first allgrain on my Grainfather, and i need some tips.

I made a recipe with the ingredients i have on hand, and i need some experienced  brewers opinion on my hop additions ( weight/time) or the recipe in general.

That looks pretty darn good to me, and I've brewed a few Citra driven SMASH batches.

If this is your first all grain, I think you will be very happy with this recipe. Just one tip on the dry hop. Don't leave it for more than a week or so before you cold crash or bottle or you MAY get some unwanted characteristics in there. Also try to add your dry hop while there is still some primary fermentation going on (i.e. still active airlock). Then the yeast will draw out some beautiful citrus and sweetness from the hops, and it will feel nice and juicy as opposed to dry hop after primary is done.

I think this should be a cakewalk for ya!

looks good to me.
tips for ya on the GrainFather in case you didnt know already.
1. if you dont have the jacket for it just wrap it with an old blanket, helps maintain temp.

2. after the mash out flip the switch to normal and raise your temp to 212F then pull the basket up to sparge. this helps on waiting for the boil

3. after the sparge I hold the lip and press down on the top screen

4. dump the grains quickly and clean the screens and basket.

5. i use a 5 gallon paint strainer with clips to hold it around the rim. that is my hop sock.
I only had a problem once with the screen at the bottom. since then i removed the spring and ball above the valve and all has been great!. i probably got 20-25 brews with my grainfather and love it.  Good luck with yours and keep us posted on how your brewday goes.

If he has the connect version like me (Likely if it's a new unit), this step isn't necessary. But the rest is very good advice  :)

Thank u for all the tips guys.
I got the the connect version.

It smelled so amazing that i had to remove my homemade Carbonfilter from the airlock (Wife).

Since i didn't read about dumping in the dryhops before fermentation is over, i'll try that next time.

I usually dump them in half way through (7 days) because i tought it would blow out the aromas.
