ive been thinking of brewing with coconut for awhile now.
Coconut IPA sounds very interesting, how much coconut did you use and when?

Brew the IPA as you normally would and let it ferment out. I add 8 oz. of coconut in the corny keg in one of those little stainless steel hopping cylinders and it stays in there for the life of the keg. I toast the cocont at 350 F for 10 minutes on a baking tray and flip the coconut at the 5 minute mark. I use the organice coconut "chips" or "shredded" in the 8 oz. bags at Trader Joes and it works like a charm. You can also throw it directly in the fermenter after fermentation is complete and let it sit for 7 days or so then rack to keg or bottles.

Good video, bud. I've done it the way you describe it. My mistake was using too much coconut, but my plan was to remove the coconut from the keg once there was enough taste, so I had tied a string to the hop bag I used to hold the coconut. It turns out that wet coconut weighs more than I calculated for so the string snapped and was doomed to stay in there for the duration of the brew. In the end I had some 6% ABV coconut juice with fizz.

That stout sounds amazing as well. I love me a coffee stout!

well i brewed a Pale Ale and added the coconut like you said and its perfect.
the coconut is there you can smell it and taste it, but it doesnt over power the beer.
