I start working at my LHBS
« on: July 02, 2018, 09:06:48 AM »
I just felt like sharing the good news with my favourite forum! I got a new job today!

It is many an eager home brewer's dream to get paid for working with home brewing, equipment, and selling beer. The shop has a great selection of hops, yeast, grains and equipment, along with just over 400 different beers to chose from. I may also work in the pub, owned by the same ppl, which is in the same building.

I've already been holding beginners courses in the shop a couple of times, where we brew a beer on a Speidel Braumeister 50L in the shop while explaining the different steps of the process etc. Sometimes we just brew beer in there and the customers are met by a lovely smell of malt then. I have a video where I'm brewing together with the shopkeeper here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LY55fWc86UI

In just 22 days I will have been 4 years on this forum, and I have learned a substantial amount of what I know about brewing from this awesome crew! Thanks for all the shared knowledge!! You are all a part of what I know about brewing.

SEVENTEEN!!!

Thank you!

Yeah, it's sad to see the forum so little used nowadays. I try to find time now and again, though.

Thanks boys! Been away for a few days, and just came home. Went to serve my home brew at a private party. They wanted me to indulge with them too. Got paid well. Then on Saturday I went to see my girl and slept over. Held a beer tasting with commercial craft beers for her. Yesterday I was invited to a private tasting at a friend of mine's house. He's a wine sommelier. Been a good weekend. Tomorrow I'm back to work. Nice to have Mondays off.
